General description
M-phenylenediamine (MPD) is an aromatic diamine. It is copolymerized with iso- or p-benzoyl chloride and 3, 5-diaminobenzoic acid or 2, 4-diaminobenzenesulfonic acid (or sulfonate) by low temperature solution polymerization to obtain a copolyamide. [1] It has been reported that MPD is selectively formed during the hydrogenation of m-dinitrobenzene in the presence of a bimetallic Ni-Pt catalyst supported on carbon. [2] The electrochemical copolymerization of aniline and MPD in sulfuric acid solution was studied by cyclic voltammetry. [3]
Apply
M-phenylenediamine can be used to synthesize the following substances:
Intrinsically semi-conductive particles with semi-trapezoidal poly (m-phenylenediamine copolymery-2-hydroxy-5-sulfonaniline) structure [4]
Extraction medium based on chitosan - poly (m-phenylenediamine)Fe3O4 nanocomposites, used as adsorbent for magnetic solid phase extraction (MSPE) of polychlorinated biphenyls [5]
A series of terpolymers obtained by chemical oxidation polymerization [6]
Polyamide film composite (TFC) film [7]
TFC Reverse Osmosis (RO) membrane [8]
